This cartridge’s 115 grain full metal jacket only does what it’s supposed to. First it feeds efficiently into the chamber. Then it curtails fouling as it speeds down the barrel, ultimately achieving a supersonic 1,190 fps muzzle velocity (so long as that barrel’s 4 inches). Its streamlined round nose profile helps the bullet conserve velocity, and hug a flat trajectory as a result. What won’t an FMJ do? Deliver terminal expansion, which is why it’s likely to pass clean through a human-sized threat and potentially jeopardize bystander safety.
