This cartridge’s 140 grain bullet is a soft point – the simplest bullet that’ll still produce deadly terminal expansion. It’s a tough little bullet with a solid copper-alloy jacket, which alongside its dense lead core promotes the depth of penetration that kills cleanly. It’s also a ballistically efficient bullet befitting of the 6.5 CM’s inherently superior long-range accuracy. Zero in at 100 yards and expect bullet drop in the ballpark of -14.6” at 300. Hit a deer at 400 yards and you’ll still dump over 1,000 ft lbs of kinetic energy into the beast.
