Remington’s Core-Lokt is the deadliest mushroom in the woods! This 270 Winchester cartridge is armed with Big Green’s most popular hunting bullet, and it’s all set to knock any deer or elk clean off its hooves.

This round’s 150 grain Core-Lokt soft point bullet features a ballistic profile, concentric jacket and uniformly distributed lead core. Once the bullet reaches its advertised muzzle velocity of 2,850 fps, its 0.261 G1 ballistic coefficient ensures that it will carry over 1,200 ft lbs of kinetic energy until almost 300 yards. The bullet’s relatively greater mass and resultant momentum isn’t the only reason it penetrates so deeply. Its jacket is tightly attached to its core, which wards off excessive fragmentation after high-velocity impact. The Core-Lokt’s jacket grows progressively thinner toward its nose, which facilitates wider-diameter expansion at all practical ranges. Up to 2X expansion, in fact!
