This is not 38 Short Colt ammunition!

If you want truly low recoil performance out of your 38 Special (or 357 Magnum) revolver (or lever-action carbine), then it’s time to get short. This 38 Special Short cartridge by Magtech is loaded with a lightweight 125 grain projectile and has a muzzle velocity of just 686 fps (out of a 4” vented test barrel). That’s about 250 fps lower than a standard-pressure 38 Special round with the same bullet weight, which is why you will feel only the gentlest of kicks every time you squeeze off a shot!

This cartridge’s bullet is a lead round nose. It’ll put more lead fouling inside your barrel than an FMJ. On the plus side, it costs less, and it also puts you at lower risk of splash-back while you’re firing on steel targets or against a hard backstop.
