The FTX projectile has a sharp, pointed tip that promotes a significantly flatter trajectory over a traditional flat nose bullet. But because the FTX’s polymer Flex Tip is supple instead of rigid, it rests safely against the primer it touches inside a tubular magazine.

Better yet, the FTX is highly effective at its job! Its sleek meplat and ballistically efficient secant ogive jacket profile reduce drag, resist wind deflection, and increase energy transfer on impact. Its heavy jacket is embedded within its alloyed core to promote a longer wound channel. And because the FTX’s Flex Tip initiates terminal expansion so reliably, the bullet also inflicts a wide wound cavity.

This ammo’s propellant is formulated to maximize muzzle velocity without going over standard chamber pressure. Its brass cases are high-quality – i.e. Hornady-quality – and its Boxer primers are noncorrosive.
