You don’t just want to hit your target. You’re driven to march an endless conga line of bullets through the dead center of your target’s bullseye – over distances of hundreds of yards. That means you don’t want plinking ammo. You need Hornady Frontier.

This 5.56x45 cartridge is outfitted with Hornady’s own 68 grain BTHP Match. It’s got a narrow meplat. It’s got a thin and concentric copper jacket. It’s got a uniformly distributed solid lead core. It’s got a tapering base that promotes superior velocity retention and resistance to wind drift.

If fired from a 20” barrel, the BTHP Match will achieve a 2,960 fps muzzle velocity and 0.355 G1 ballistic coefficient – the reason why its trajectory to 300 yards peaks at 5.3” (with 1.5” high sights), and also why it won’t lose accuracy as a result of transonic destabilization until it races to approximately 930 yards.

A rate of twist between 1:7” to 1:10” will prove adequate to stabilize this round’s heavier projectile. Anyone will appreciate this ammo’s match grade Boxer primers. Any handloader can appreciate its high-quality brass cases multiple times, if they so wish.
