200 rounds of Hornady Critical Defense deliver reliability and accuracy in your 40 Smith and Wesson with every shot fired. An ideal choice for concealed carry personal protection, Hornady's Critical Defense line of ammunition was developed to deliver dependable terminal performance. With this round you get the stopping power of a traditional hollow point without the clogging and inconsistencies often experienced with those rounds.

Each round is loaded with a 165 grain FTX (Flex Tip Technology) bullet with a soft polymer insert for controlled expansion. The result is optimum penetration and a wide wound channel in a variety of ranges and velocities. Even when fired through heavy denim and leather, these rounds deliver threat-stopping power and accuracy.

Casings are new production reloadable brass with sensitive non-corrosive Boxer primers. Hornady's clean-burning propellant blend delivers consistent performance, reduced recoil, and minimal muzzle flash even in short barreled handguns.
