This 300 AAC Blackout ammo by Hornady, right here? It’s 100% designed for accuracy. It’s not the sort of accuracy that you’ll want to use for deer hunting, seeing as how Hornady’s A-MAX isn’t built for terminal expansion. But when you’re just trying to march bullets through a single hole in the center of a bullseye, this ammo is your best friend.

This round is loaded with a 208 grain bullet. It is heavy, which is why it won’t exit a 16” barrel at supersonic velocity. But that’s good as far as accuracy is concerned. It means the bullet won’t wobble and spin off course as a result of transonic destabilization.

The A-MAX features a low-drag polymer tip, secant ogive profile and boat tail; all features which decrease in-flight drag. The A-MAX is also equipped with a concentric AMP jacket, as well as a swaged lead core; both features which enhance rotational stability. It all comes together to give you a round with a lofty 0.648 G1 ballistic coefficient.
