Hornady’s American Whitetail ammunition is ideal for hunting a certain species of deer in a certain country. But even if you take aim at blacktail in Canada, mule deer in Sri Lanka, or the wild boar of San Marino, this 243 Winchester ammunition will win the day!

This round’s 100 grain projectile is nothing less than Hornady’s own InterLock soft point. It’s named after the protrusion which embeds the bullet’s jacket into its one-piece alloyed lead core. That helps the InterLock resist core/jacket separation during high-velocity impact, and establish a more extensive wound channel as a result. The InterLock’s jacket is tapered, and also wears a series of grooves around its lead tip. These features enable the bullet to undergo wide and uniform expansion, even when it has less energy to work with.

Once Hornady’s clean-burning primer and powder have done their job, the InterLock will make its exit from the barrel at a velocity of 2,960 fps (24” test barrel). The bullet’s high 0.405 G1 ballistic coefficient will deliver a punch of 1,000+ ft lbs energy until it passes 390 yards!
