Hornady’s American Whitetail line of ammunition is specifically designed for our country’s favorite medium game animal. But we’re sure you could do fine things with this 243 Win ammo even while you’re hunting other types of deer (moose excluded).

The InterLock is a soft point projectile with a multitude of performance enhancing features. Its sharp tip and low-drag secant ogive profile both help it to follow a flatter trajectory. Zero in at 200 yards and you’ll get a trajectory which doesn’t rise higher than approximately 2.36” above the bore line. The InterLock’s signature feature is its InterLock ring – the raised interior band which mechanically binds the jacket and core together. The bullet’s cannelure also secures the jacket to the core, which reduces the extent of core/jacket separation to promote overall deeper penetration. And thanks to the jacket’s thin, notched rim, the InterLock is able to commence terminal expansion at low and high velocities alike!

This ammo’s 100 grain 0.405 G1 BC InterLock bullets are neatly seated in new brass cases, with primers and propellant that produce a 2,960 fps muzzle velocity out of a rifle’s 24” barrel.
