Here’s our opinion: We believe you should be able to shoot steel targets wherever you like. (Within reason, of course.) That’s why we love Champion’s 2x4 compatible steel target stand. At approximately 14 pounds it’s not exactly something you’d want to drop on your toe, but it’s still light enough for any Tom, Dick or Harry to carry around and set up wherever he pleases.

This target stand is made of rugged heavy gauge steel, with a solid steel H-shaped weighted base to ensure sound stability wherever it’s placed. Holes in each corner of the stand give you the option of anchoring it with stakes. In the center of the stand sits a solid steel socket that is shaped just right for the end of a 2x4, with a bolt to secure the board in place. Just sink your plank into this stand, set a target mount on top of it, hang your target, and bingo-bango-bongo – your own personal range is ready for action!
