The only copper you’ll find in this 380 Auto ammo is in its bullets’ jackets. Its cases are made of specially heat-treated aircraft-grade aluminum, which makes them substantially cheaper to manufacture than regular brass ones.

Aluminum is not reloadable. It’s too rigid to snap back to its original form once ignition has taken place. Blazer loads this ammo with Berdan primers (which require two flash holes and an external anvil) to create added assurance that no one will attempt reloading it. (Those primers are noncorrosive, so never you worry!)

This ammo’s bullets aren’t especially exciting: plain old 95 grain full metal jackets, with lead cores and copper coats. But you don’t want especially exciting bullets when your only objective is to poke lots of holes through inanimate objects. The FMJ is the high-volume target shooter’s best friend, and it’s welcome at all indoor ranges when it doesn’t contain any steel!
