This .223 Remington ammunition from PMC is an excellent practice load for AR-15s and other .223/5.56 NATO rifles. This ammo comes in a bulk priced 1,000 round case and has similar ballistics to M193 mil-spec ammo, firing a 55 grain full metal jacket bullet at a muzzle velocity of about 3,200 feet per second from a 24" test barrel. A great cost-effective training option!
